As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage month, we want to recognize all the nations that our employees identify their Hispanic Heritage with. It’s amazing to see the global reach of such an incredible workforce. With Human Capital being the core of our business, people are our strongest assets. EDS supports a staff from 16 different Hispanic countries, identifying with a number of Spanish speaking backgrounds. This diversity keeps EDS enriched in a broad range of cultures and connected with a multitude of groups. From Recruiting to Operations, our multilingual team is able to hire and find job placements for an expansive pool full of diversity. We are proud to celebrate the depth of our Hispanic population and what it means to have this identity. Director of Talent Acquisition and Strategic Initiatives, Griselda Botello, shares that “Being Hispanic is such a big part of who I am and how I see the world. To me, being Hispanic is about having deep roots in a rich culture that values family, tradition, and community. It’s about growing up with a sense of pride in our history, our music, our food, and the stories passed down from generation to generation. There’s a lot of strength in that heritage, and it’s something I carry with me in everything I do”.
There is no ‘one way’ to be Hispanic. It is evident at EDS that identifying as Hispanic and being in ethrolled in a culture with such depth and interpersonal relational ties, aids in the company maintaining a family-like feel. Regardless of whether we’re providing permanent staffing, workforce management or staff augmentation, our focus remains the same: keeping the company culture strong. Much of leadership leads with Hispanic values and instills in sectors of the company an attitude of commitment and connectedness. Roberto Montes, a Regional Operations Manager, explains that he wishes “more people understood just how diverse and multifaceted Hispanic heritage really is. We are not all the same—each country, each region, and family brings its own unique flavor, traditions, and history. From the beautiful landscapes and amazing hospitality of Tierra del Fuego in Argentina, to the vibrant streets of Mexico, there’s a world of difference in our cultures, yet we’re united by shared values of hard work, family, and community. It’s not just about food, music, or language—it’s about contributions in art, science, politics, and beyond”. Because of these foundational cultural beliefs, EDS operates as a very tight knit, well oiled machine.
